THE FOOD
Your menu follows anti-inflammatory guidelines, meaning it is predominantly plant-based. The principle behind the menu is to give the gut a chance to heal, especially if you have GI problems like IBS, SIBO, functional GI disorders other than IBS, autoimmune diseases, and migraines. Inflammatory foods are not conducive to physical wellness, whereas anti-inflammatory foods support a healthy biosystem in which your body can thrive; skin cells renew optimally, disease can begin to heal. During the cleanse, the only thing going into your body (and mind!) will be nourishing, giving your body a break from sorting out the good from the bad, and finally giving it a chance to process older deeply stored toxins.

Plant-based soup with superseeds and chilli crackers / sprouted dahl / raw lasagne
Supper: moroccan soup / thai green veggie curry

• CLOTHES: always having a scarf/wrap will help to keep you warm, especially during the evening and/or yoga nidra sessions. Clothes for yoga practice, and for walking would be advisable if you wish to enjoy being outdoors.

ABOUT KEN
Ken is from the wild west of Ireland. He has spent much time in India with extended periods of study and practice at remedial, spiritual and scientific schools of Yoga. His style has been described as strong, energetic, deeply grounding and non-conventional. Ken’s major disciplines are in traditional and western yoga practice, tai chi, meditation, lymphatic breathing and many other spiritual art forms that he has mastered out in India. Given Ken’s frequent training trips to India and further East, the style of Yoga he teaches has evolved in its expression since his first qualifying as a Sivananda Yoga teacher. However energetic, deep or strong one practices a posture, a sense of ease is emphasised. “Find the Crucial point of each Stretch”, Ken readily suggests to his students; this being that point of greatest Openness where the body has not yet reached any severe sense of pain or strain. Ken hosts Juicy Yoga Cleanse retreats in Ireland, England, India, and works alongside Juice Guru Mr Jason Vale in the Turkish mountains. ABOUT VICTORIA Victoria has studied numerous disciplines for over 10 years, teaching Yoga, Meditation, Nutrition and is a Certified Health Coach with clients including British Olympians. Victoria’s passions are yoga, gut health, Ayurveda, Raw Foods (Trained Chef), hormonal health (including but not limited to Menopause, PMS and inflammatory dis-ease), cleansing and moving the body to promote detoxification. Her retreats include yoga, raw food, ayurvedic nutrition, Zumba and hiking. In this workshop you will gain knowledge and understanding of how to empower yourself and your families life and well-being. Victoria will give you the tools you need to boost your immune system, eradicate toxins and live a healthier and happier life. |
